Another visionary Dresser design. This one has a decidedly deco form and creates a marvelous tiled effect, with many layers that allow for multiple opportunities for palette exploration. The combination of elements results in stars, squares, rays of light, wings, and fleur de lis.

The intention with this palette and design was to compliment the stars of the show in this remarkable room, which are the fireplace and the stained glass. A fairly neutral center palette was used, with ochres and golds that play off the fireplace mosaic as does the strong green used in the Greek key border (not a Dresser design) that works beautifully with the pattern although many border possibilities remain to be tried.
