Humphries

This Early American pattern is from the Esther Brazer Stevens Collection at the Museum of American Folk Art.  Brazer Stevens recorded authentic stencil patterns, including this one from the Humphries House in Dorchester, MA, c.1800.

This floorcloth was commissioned as part of a makeover of The Homestead Room at the Grafton Inn in Grafton, Vermont.  The Homestead Room is a lovely meeting and event space accommodating up to 50 people.  The Inn has been operating since 1801 and currently has 42 guest rooms and several event spaces.  It is located in the charming village of Grafton, Vermont, with a population of 650.
