Interlocking Circles

Interlocking circle patterns are found in historical artifacts from the 7^th century BC onwards – one of the most enduring decorative forms found in almost all cultures throughout history. This pattern was found on a painted floor in the Isaac Buck House in Hanover, Massachusetts, c1800, and is a wonderful example of a timeless version of interlocking circles.

This floorcloth is based on a pattern traced by Esther Stevens Brazer from the Isaac Buck House in Connecticut, c. 1800. This is a wonderful version of the classic interlocking circle pattern.

This floorcloth is installed wall-to-wall, adhered directly to a subfloor in a large walk-in closet. The palette is inspired by the lovely piece of marble used at the closet threshold. (Item # IC01. This pattern is priced at a rate of $55/square foot.)
